And as a plus, my red bin is getting refilled since I'm cutting strips in several sizes, as long as I've got fabric spread out on the cutting table.
And I'm even cutting for clue #2 - the blue HSTs.
Oh, and these other triangles, too.

I don't blame you for not counting any longer!! How funny that you come up with less after each time!! I don't see any new projects happening...but if I did, I like the blue background!
Which is why I'm going to use Bonnie's colors and do something with far fewer parts that need to be counted!
I had the same problem with On Ringo Lake. The numbers kept going backwards! Glad to know it wasn't my counting skills but just a feature of Bonnie's quilts. Love the scrappy star you aren't making.
Not doing, yeah, right ... I think you said the same thing to me last year when I said I wasn't doing ORL!

I think those 4 patches are sticking together, and one day you'll have twice as many as you need! And as far that new project you're not starting - that's what happens when you start cutting up scraps!
I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who has trouble counting. I really like that blackground blue on the quilt you're not starting. It will be a lovely quilt if you ever do start sewing it.
You know what they say: one step forward, two steps backward. Those 4 patch surely have heard that before, haha! I am surprised that you are not starting a new project; after all it is a new month. AND you did finish two quilts. Oh well! Maybe in 2019 you will be in the mood to start something new ... and blue. Blahaha!

The new project you are not starting looks really good! As far as the counting, I bundle little blocks into batches of 10 and put a safety pin through the pile so I can count batches as I go along when I do big projects like this. It helps with the mis-counting multiple times. Keep up the good work!
December is the Month to start thinking about the next year. So that means you can start the projects to work on in 2019. I think that is a quilting rule :)

That counting issue might explain how I made extra of the week 2 units, but when I finished them and counted again I had exactly the right number. Considering I made them in sets of 8, and the number I ended up with isn't divisible by 8, there is definitely something weird about numbers and Bonnie's mysteries!
Ha ha! I read this out loud to my DH and we both laughed :) He said you should average the numbers, but the average will keep going down, too. So stopping is the right answer.
Well you did say when you finished the last two quilts that you could now start 4 more, so what are the other 2 going to be? I'd put 25 units in a baggy so it would be easier to recount, if you felt the need to recount, of course.

I think it's a good thing you stopped counting those little four patches--lol! Glad to see you are steadfast in your dedication to Good Fortune and not begin anything new--something I can relate to, for sure!

Forget everything and only work on your new project "Totally Not Doing That." I'm hooked and want to binge watch.
You've got some fun scrappy stuff going on in your sewing room. I try to put my blocks into groups of ten as I finish them. Much easier to count that way.
