Trying the new blogger

This change is being forced on us, so I'm doing a test post.

Do you see lilacs?

May is almost over?

Oh, good heavens!  The June color for the RSC is already released and I've barely gotten any green-for-May sewing done.
I did do another Jacks & Sixes block, which is a puzzler for sure since I keep thinking I've got plenty of these for a quilt and I really need to stop.

But they're easy and fun to make and they just seem to keep piling up.  (Is there a quilt size bigger than King?  Emperor?)

And because Sally T has given me postage envy -

this little ditty turned up on my sewing table. (Not that I've started another new quilt.  Absolutely not.) (It's only one block.) (I can stop any time I want.)

Linking with SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday.  Then it looks like I'd better go root out my pink scrap bin.  I'm sure it's around here somewhere...

What was that I was saying about time flying?

Despite the fact that I sincerely believed that I had just posted, it seems that a couple of weeks have gone speeding by...
People are starting to ask if I'm alright, so here's me waving cheerily.  (These days, I worry about people too when they go silent for a bit.  I'll try to do better.)
I'm actually spending more time procrastinating than sewing, so I don't have much to show for all that time.   (I have reviewed a considerable amount of material on Pinterest, though, which is a procrastinator's dreamsite)
I got Bonnie Hunter's Unity up to this point -

which is the end of Clue #5.  (My design wall isn't flat, which is why my quilt isn't either.  We all make do with what we've got.)
That round of friendship stars for Clue #4 really kicked my butt, and I still can't figure out why.  They're not hard to make and there aren't that many of them, but they just seemed endless.  Of course it didn't help that no matter how many I made, my count kept coming up short.  I can't tell you how many times I needed 'just four more'.  Maybe they were kicking my butt just before taking off into a black hole...
Clue #6 was just a metric butt-ton of HSTs, so if I can keep them from leaping into that black hole after the stars, I should have a good start on them when Clue #7 drops tomorrow.  (I've only got about 1/3 of them sewn together, but I've got platefuls of triangles cut out and stacked by the sewing machine)
Wish me luck!

Linking with Quilting is more fun than Housework for Oh Scrap!  (And at some point I hope to get back to the RSC every week, if I can cut down on the procrastinating...)
