There's always room for buckeyes

I've had a fairly productive couple of days, though I don't have as much to show for it as I thought I would.  Partly it's because a lot of time was spent thinking and planning, which is remarkably hard to photograph, and there was a lot of cutting as well, which is boring to photograph.  (Stacks of triangles?  Three and half inch strips?  Your eyes would be glazing.)

I did get a couple of Buckeye Beauties thrown together, as you may have guessed from the title of the post.

And a nice green Jacks to add to the stack.

And there was a kaleidoscope, of course.

As well as another kaleidoscope.

I think I have one more cut out and sitting next to the sewing machine, though I admit I may have lost track at this point.  I get on such a roll when I first start assembling strips for these that I never know how many I'm going to end up with.  It's a good thing Angela changes the color each month, or I'd never be able to stop.  At least picking strips of the new color slows me down for a bit...

And piglets continue to turn up.

(Still not hamburger buns, Cathy.  Sorry.)

It seems like there was something else, but I can't quite remember what it was.  It's right on the tip of my brain...

I almost had it, then I got distracted when I tripped over these logs that someone left on the floor.

I'll be linking to Angela's So Scrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday.  Come see all the rainbows in action!

Well you definitively have a green thumb because everything is so yummy. Love the first kali block. I know the centre part is made with two different fabrics and yet, it tries to tell my brain there is only one. Love it! I also love the lumberjack piglet. Too cute! (You do realize it's barbecue season? Just checking.) Happy to hear you didn't hurt yourself stumbling on those logs on the floor. lol. Great green job. Enjoy! ;^)

My first thought when I saw the first green piglet----he's got his checkered suit on and is ready for a night out on the town!!
Great blocks, Gayle!

Nice green blocks. You got a lot done. I can't wait to see all of your piggies in a quilt.

Buckeye Beauty looks like fun (and fits my Ohio past); I see some of these in my future. Now to sort my scraps so I can play...

Such a lot of blocks! I've never seen the buckeye before. Will your green piglets produce green back bacon?

You've had a very productive time! I like the Buckeye pattern there would be lords of ways for setting a heap of these blocks wouldn't there I guess. Lovely little piglets again this week and it seems there's lots of us busy sewing up kaleidoscope blocks.

That circle fabric is wonderful. And did you find the log cabin blocks or start a new quilt? I need to update my spreadsheet.

The green green piglet will catch every girl piglet's eye! To me the second Kaliedescope block looks like the old TV off the air symbol, or you are probably too young to remember that.

That first kaleidoscope makes me think of the dizzying feeling you get sometimes looking up at the tree tops.

Love seeing all your green fabrics, but the Paul Bunyan piglet is the bestest!

I still see hamburger buns but I'm going for an eye exam next Friday. I don't see well when piglets are hogging all the attention when kaleidoscopes and monkeys aren't.
