Despite the fact that I sincerely believed that I had just posted, it seems that a couple of weeks have gone speeding by...
People are starting to ask if I'm alright, so here's me waving cheerily. (These days, I worry about people too when they go silent for a bit. I'll try to do better.)
I'm actually spending more time procrastinating than sewing, so I don't have much to show for all that time. (I have reviewed a considerable amount of material on Pinterest, though, which is a procrastinator's dreamsite)
I got Bonnie Hunter's Unity up to this point -
which is the end of Clue #5. (My design wall isn't flat, which is why my quilt isn't either. We all make do with what we've got.)
That round of friendship stars for Clue #4 really kicked my butt, and I still can't figure out why. They're not hard to make and there aren't that many of them, but they just seemed endless. Of course it didn't help that no matter how many I made, my count kept coming up short. I can't tell you how many times I needed 'just four more'. Maybe they were kicking my butt just before taking off into a black hole...
Clue #6 was just a metric butt-ton of HSTs, so if I can keep them from leaping into that black hole after the stars, I should have a good start on them when Clue #7 drops tomorrow. (I've only got about 1/3 of them sewn together, but I've got platefuls of triangles cut out and stacked by the sewing machine)
Wish me luck!
Linking with Quilting is more fun than Housework for Oh Scrap! (And at some point I hope to get back to the RSC every week, if I can cut down on the procrastinating...)

Oh! Hi there, stranger. It's so good to have you back in Blogland. I love your rendition of Unity. Great progress for a procrastinator, lol. I am guilty of following the procrastinator's dreamsite too. Sigh! Hope to see you more often. Hugs. ;^)
Missed you! Unity is looking good. I love a good medallion.l
Your Unity looks great.
I must be doing Pinterest wrong or something. It rarely shows me anything I am interested in, and is full of ads for stuff I don't want.
Your unity quilt is coming along quite nicely. Even though you have been procrastinating.
Thanks for linking up with Oh Scrap!
Ahhh Pinterest —- time hog king / queen. Your top is looking great!
I've been admiring all the Unity quilts. My participation has been limited to printing out all the clues. There are so many articles (print and online) about managing during quarantine. One columnist wrote about not-feeling-guilty about not getting more done, saying that at first the temptation is to set ambitious goals ("during the next six weeks I will spend an hour a day learning French!" "I will cook dinner using a different recipe every night.") -- and that just chilling can be therapeutic. [Don't ask me how many hours I have NOT spent on Ancestry.com.]
Unity looks wonderful! I'm impressed that you're keeping up, with those those metric tons of pieces and parts to make. Way to go, Gayle!
That is amazing!
I know all about that blackhole - I lose blocks down it all the time. (I refuse to believe that I just can't count.)
Your Unity is looking super! Glad you found all your Friendship stars eventually :)
Round four did my head in too, not sure why as I normally like HST. But after two weeks of trying and failing to make more, I just went with top and bottom and called the quilt finished! Yours looks great, congratulations for persisting.
great job on unity
Thanks for checking in! At least you have clues...Lately I've been clueless!
Unity is looking good! Carry on!
I not planning to make this one. I'm already overcommitted, so I enjoy seeing your progress even more. It gets prettier every week.
I have to say that this is one of Bonnie's quilts which I particularly like and I've been watching her progress round by round.
Your quilt is coming along quickly and how many more rounds to go now?
You really are the master of medallions...and I do know some just refer to you as mom.
And I definitely have the ... “maybe I’ll do something interesting tomorrow and I’ll post about it then” blues.
Loving your progress on your medallion!
I've been procrastinating more than usual lately too. I blame the coronavirus. Your top is looking great though!
