He always manages to pop the hoop as he settles into his magical cat-nest.

This is exactly what my daughter's nearly-adult kittens do when they come for a visit. I've finally resorted to standing the hoop on its side. But gosh, they do look so comfortable and adorable, don't they?

I think it’s a matter of perspective. Is the cat sleeping in your quilt and hoop, or are you stitching with The Perfect Cat Bed?
