On Ringo Lake is serving as my leader/ender for the moment.
This means that components for it are stacking up, with the occasional finished block, but it also means no progress is being made on my real leader/ender projects - like the 4-patches I've been making for years, or the hourglasses I started year before last, or the checkerboard rails that I started last summer.
(Hmm... I seem to have a whole lot of leader/endering going on. I should probably make a push on one or the other of these projects, but in that case I'd probably just start another leader/ender to work on while I finish those blocks, so maybe I should just leave it alone and see what happens...)
One of the things I want to really move along is my Burgoyne Surrounded quilt. I've started laying out blocks with sashings and cornerstones, but I have to work on it in short bursts. Despite the carpet on my design floor, there's only so much these bony old knees can take before they start getting grumpy. Grumpy knees are not easily placated.

Your Burgoyne blocks look so nice in the colors, something different. I feel for your knees, Gayle. Mine are long past the kneeling stage. What we won't do for our Quilting!

Both of these are looking really good! I have really liked the color scheme of the Ringo Lake quilts, and your Burgoyne blocks also have lots of pretty color! Maybe your leader/ender blocks can all be leaders and enders for each other...:)
At least you have carpet! My design floor is cold hard tile... and it's full of nosy cats!
I need you to get that BS sewn up and quilted so I get some inspiration on how to finish mine. I love your multi coloured blocks. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
No grumpy knees here...I just sew stuff together randomly! And you reminded me I need to find some kind of backing for mine. Then I will get grumpy moving around on the floor to pin baste. No grumpy knees even then, though, since I sit on my quilt to pin baste!

On Ringo Lake is going to be beautiful! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with multiple piecing projects--I also feel like I should just pick at least one and get it done-lol!

I finally decided I needed to finish the split nine patch L&E from who knows how many years ago, so I picked out alayout, determined how many more blocks I needed, and just got them done. Now to sew the flimsy together which will have to wait until I get back from FL in late March.

Yeah, leader-endering can take on a life of its own! Your Burgoynes look great; I know what you mean about grumpy knees!
Your Burgoyne is particularly pretty! It's the first one I've seen where there is a different color inside, so now the "surrounded" part makes more sense to me :)
Love your Burgoyne Surrounded blocks too. I'm happy to see that I am not the only who has a leader/ender project for my leader/ender blocks which I make with the leader/ender strings ... yes, I know. My name is Chantal and I am a leader/ender-holic. Bwahahaha! ;^)
Yes, having two projects on the design floor is definitely a challenge. It may be time to start a new project.
