Now with more Higgledy Piggledy

When last we met, I was dithering whether my sashing for my piglets should be darker or lighter.
The answer is neither.

Turns out brighter is the way to go!

I haven't started cutting out the sashing strips yet, but I did get the rest of the piglets framed in their uphill/downhill jollity.

The next step is sewing all those little rascals together.

And it turns out that I have 31 piglet blocks left over.  As in, I knew I seemed to be making a lot of piggies, but my goodness that's a lot of pigs.  So, since I almost have enough for another quilt, I might as well keep making piglets for a while.
Yeah, I knew I would have a hard time stopping...

Bright is right for those lovelies. I'm planning to make my 6-inch sailboats rock and roll. What method do you use. Flipping I can do, but I dread paper piecing. Or is there another way? I'd appreciate your advice.

Those piggies are about the cutest things ever! Why not make two quilts out of them?! I bet you know someone who will love them. :)

OMG that is just too adorable!! I have a thing for pigs since I used "The Three Little Pigs", aka "Les Trois Petits Cochons" to teach French to grade 7s, with terrifc success btw. Anyhow, LOVE how you have them 'in their jollity' going up and down, genius! And ups the cuteness. Great choice on the bright sashing too.

One wouldn't think that piglets could look so darn happy running up and down hills--but they do. You gave them life!
