Where does the time go? Three weeks into February and this is my first gathering of the yellows for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
In between finishing those two tops I showed in my last post, I got a couple of Antique Tile blocks done, but I've got two more cut out and ready to go.
After working so relentlessly on Grassy Creek and Sand Castles 2, I was a little lost after finishing them. What to do, what to do? Get back to a UFO, or start something new?
And since I was being so good, it surely couldn't hurt to just look up that other Jen Kingwell quilt that I want to make. You know, for after I finish Glitter and all. It's always good to be prepared - everyone says so.
So I pulled out the book and just looked at the pattern. And then I read the directions and noticed that she used an odd measurement for the grid base for the blocks. Next thing I knew I was translating the pattern into sizes of strips and squares that I already cut and use, and then this happened.
Not that I'm starting a new project. Nope, not me.
Linking with SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday and with Quilting is more fun than Housework for Oh Scrap! Come see all the pretties!

I think you more than made up for your lack of yellow this month! Love those postage stamp blocks - whatever the color!
At least, you got some YELLOW sewing done before you took off after that squirrel, Gayle!! :o))
Your PSP blocks are all so cool. You really got cooking with yellow this week. Those Antique Tiles blocks are to die for. I looked them up at Generations, and the setting possibilities are endless. What size are yours?
LOL... love that you aren't starting a new project -- me either. Tee hee. You were definitely productive on using your yellow scraps this month. Well done.
Lots of sunny yellows and yes, three PSP is better than two. Happy to see the glitters again. Those little blocks always impress me. I love the blocks you are playing with. Don't go thinking you've started something here, that's just testing the measurements. (Wink.) Enjoy!! ;^)
How on earth do you keep all these lovely projects organized?
I love all the yellow... It's all snow and grey here. I need colour!!!
I m happy to read I am not the only one with no self control when it comes to quilting. Love all your blocks. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Hi Gail, I think that after you sewed up some glitter bits that it was the time to start that new project. Now you have one more to keep working on :-) Take care.
Wow! You sure got a lot done so I guess it was time to start something new. And good for you for resizing the pieces. I should browse through that book again. I know I made a couple of quilts from it but I always wanted to make that cover quilt...Daisy Do?, I think?
Well, look at you go with all that yellow. Love all your blocks, especially the cake stand and glitter blocks. Thank goodness we are such strong people, never letting anything new & shiny distract us! Hahaha! (Cool blocks that you didn't start!)
OMG!I gave decided I am not allowed to read your blog without adult supervision because I end up "having" to start something new. Every. Single. Time.
'Have'...not 'gave'
How do you do it gayle - accomplish so much! You have a lovely collection of yellow blocks for RSC, then in addition to other blocks you have gone back to Glitter and then even begun another project, I wish I have your energy!
The power outage was MUCH longer than I thought because I missed two postings...but hmmm...only one new project? What is the true metric for the passage of time? And You get a PSP merit badge for the careful cat placement in one of the postage stamps.
