When last I typed at ya, my design wall looked like this -
Well, that was just a bit too chaotic, even for me, so when I finished piecing November's Goosey Temps column, I pulled the summer's columns and moved October and November to the left as I started December. This gave me more room for the last Sand Castles as I build them.
And here's a good thing that I've been doing right along -
I write the month in the seam allowance of the top goose, so I don't get the months confused when I assemble the quilt. THAT's a boo-boo I saw coming from a mile away.
And since it's Bonnie Hunter Mystery Time, I've been squeezing in a little bit of Frolic here and there.
Here's the start of Clues 1 and 2,
which left my cutting table looking like this -
and here's the first HST stacks for Clue 3 which just dropped this morning.
I'm basically just getting a few of each clue done, just to keep my hand in, as I pursue other sewing projects. (Mostly of the gifty variety, since I hear there's a major holiday coming up soon.) (Don't tell me how many days I have left la la la I can't hear you...) When priorities allow, I'll catch up with the frolicking.
In the meantime, I'm linking with SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday (because I'm bound to finish those Sand Castles soon, no really) and with Quilting is more fun than Housework for Oh Scrap! I'm even going to post a photo or two to Instagram for the Bonnie Mystery, though I'm not a fan of Instagram at all at all at all. (I'm mangofeet_on_ig if you're looking for me. I've got one photo so far. sigh)

The sandcastle blocks look great. I have a temp quilt finished from last year, yet to be quilted.
Your sandcastle blocks look fantastic! So do your Frolicy bits.
April? Tell me your secret to rewind! I do a lot of those "air" posts, too.
If computers could read our minds I think they wouldn't compute for very long, lol. It's better to leave them to their logistics.
You are doing to well with temperature geese. It will be an amazing quilt.
I so love your choice of colors for Frolicking. I am not playing ... yet. :^D I've learned my lesson with Ringo on the Lake.

I also do 'air posts' and find that the thinking of sewing actually does not get things done! Imagine that. Guess I need more time off the computer and more time creating.... as the tick tock countdown to the holiday is getting faster and faster.... Good luck.

IG is all the social media I can manage, other than reading other people's blogs, which I spend way too much time doing, when I should be sewing. You must be getting close on sand castles. Personally, I miss the monkeys.

Well, at least you managed to get a blog post done! I didn’t even do that. This week, for me, was spent doing a charity quilting event (2 afternoons), getting Xmas stuff wrapped and mailed, dinner party prep for tonight, and just a bit of secret sewing. Aaack!
Sandcastles is just beautiful! I am not doing mysteries (my life is mysterious enough for me hahaha) but I love seeing how everyone interprets the clues..;))) Keeping track of my Granddaughter's flights to and from college (far away;((( ) is stress enough ...
I didn't even send out cards this year and did not decorate much...the "spirit is weak and so is the flesh" lol

Orange and purple frolic?!?! Can't WAIT to see how that progresses, Gayle. Keep on building those Sandcastles... EVENTUALLY, they will be done. I'm banking on soon-ISH!! :P
Definitely a good idea to write the month on the fabric - what a job if they became mixed up!! One of the things I look forward to when seeing the pics of Bonnie Hunter mystery quilts in progress is the different colour combinations used. Continue on with your wonderful Sand Castles!!

My saving grace this year is our family Christmas isn't until Dec 29th. I might just do that every year from now on!! Easier to get all of us together AFTER every one else's holiday events. Sand Castles is going to be striking.
