Butterflies of Kaleidoscopes

Or something like that.

Cathy at Sane, Crazy, Crumby Quilting has been running a linky party featuring kaleidoscopes and butterflies for a good while, and I've been trying to keep up with posting my own efforts each month.

Since I got all my piglets out the other day, I was curious about how many kaleidoscopes I've made since RSC2016 started back in January.  I pulled out the bin and laid out the blocks.

The answer is a lot.  Once again, I'm having trouble fitting all my blocks into one shot.  And as expected, I have more orange ones than any other color, with purple ranking second.

How about an artsier look?

I had to fight hard to resist the urge to arrange them (and rearrange them and re-rearrange them) because I could have kept myself entertained for days...

You are getting so close to quite a few finishes. Time to celebrate by starting something new? That is what I would do ;)

The color/value placement makes them all look so different! Keep up the good work.

Your obsession is turning into a great quilt. Oh! Yes! I love what I see, and I see a sea of possibilities with kaleidoscopes and monkeys together and another quilt with kaleidoscopes and ... oh, yea, right! it's your quilt. You go ahead and decide. I'll shut up now! ;^]

A LOT is not enough! Especially when they look like these!

I need to give this block a try - so many blocks, so little time.

Oh aren't they all wonderful glorious colors! No wonder you could play for days.

They look wonderful, but its tricky to resist the urge to move then around. Good luck with this project, they blend together beautifully.

Dark for connectors is awesome. But egads, I can't stay long because I sense a contagion...

They are looking so great! and yes, there is a lot of them, but it'll be a spectacular quilt! So now I'm wondering, are you going to keep going with the RSC and make more, and, what will you use for the connecting triangles?
