You should thank him for keeping your place warm while you were gone. Hahaha! I am sure his intentions were good. (I can almost hear him purr.) I think he deserves a great hug for a job well done. lol. ;^)
Oh this reminds me of my dear departed Rocky. He would lay on anything, regardless of sharp and pointy. It got to the point where, whenever I couldn't find my keys, Dave would say "Look under the cat". Nine times out of 10, they were there. Rupert is starting to show the same inclination.

But he loves you! And how else is he going to get your attention?
You quilt with three needles at once? I'm so impressed. But seriously, I don't think its a good idea to store needles in the cat bed.
He looks so happy. And smug. Typical cat face.
Mine do that on my pin basted quilts (staight harpoon pins too) and I don't know how they don't get poked.

But I'm Sooooooooo happy here . . . (just look at that face )
Cats plus quilts, a natural affinity. He looks so smug.

I'm guessing it's the fur that keeps them safe.....thanks for the smile....it made my afternoon!
Stop the madness!!! Another cute cat photo? And I guess a hoop popper is better than a hoop pooper.
Have fun quilting!
it's Living-on-the-edge kitty! Ta Da!
Cats must have skins of armor underneath all that fur!
He looks pretty comfy!!!
