I was reading a library book this morning - Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things - and reached a stopping place.
I automatically reached for the bottom of the book to turn it off...
Yeah ... I keep tapping the monitor when I can't get the mouse to do what I want. /sigh
But I do *love* how those electronic devices keep my place and transfer it from device to device. I'm no longer carrying heavy books or losing my place.
I'm reading my first physical book in ages. The first time I was finished reading it, I just closed it and set it down on the table.
Then I stared at it, perplexed and aggravated. Because I realized that the next time I picked it up to read it, it wouldn't just automatically go to the last page read!
I had to actually physically put a piece of paper in to keep my place! LIKE SOME KIND OF ANIMAL.

I find I do similar things when I spend too much time with my iPad!
