Someone had spray painted a toilet bright purple (a very bright purple), stuffed both the bowl and the tank with a flower arrangement of purple silk flowers and silver spiky bits, and set it next to their driveway at the side of the road. Lots and lots of silvery spiky bits. And fringe. And festoons.
And me without my camera.
So, I vowed that the next day, I would either bring my camera, or, at the very least, get a cellphone picture of this
But the next day I couldn't find it. I couldn't remember exactly where along my route I'd seen it (I did mention that the original sighting was during a period of extreme caffeine deprivation) so I assumed I'd missed it and would try again the next day.
But I still can't find it. (And it's pretty darned impossible to miss...)
So the way I see it, there are four possible explanations.
A) The original
B) A kindly neighbor/friend/relative persuaded the
C) Someone actually stole it. (The mind boggles.)
D) I hallucinated the whole thing.
What do you think?

I vote hallucination!
I've done the same kind of thing...
Personally, I vote for hallucination. I know what caffeine deprivation does to me.
Absolutely had to be caffeine deprived halucination.
Also: my road side find wasn't as ..., uhm, embellished (? shall we say) but I did get a picture ;)
Apparently we're all convinced that you hallucinated. Because the mind can't comprehend a purple party pooper out on someone's lawn.
:)
I think it was there. What better way to get people to find your house when you're having a party?!
"It's the house with the purple toilet with all the flowers in it on the left. You can't miss it!"
Then again, we know where I live. *L*
xo
What did you say you consumed the night before? :D
I think it was a former neighbor of mine who has moved near you. Wait, and something else will pop up.
My neighbor would have a couch, with two stuffed cows sitting on a couch watching tv out on his front lawn. Or the next day it might be a boat towing two water-skiing cows. It always brightened my day.
B. Maybe. Vermonters are pretty rugged, and immune to criticism. But still.
or perhaps
E) the powers-that-be hauled it away ?
I think it was the landing marker for the alien zombie invasion. Lucky for you someone removed it before *they* landed.
