New baby pictures

It's hard to take pictures of a black lamb.

It's especially hard to take pictures of a black lamb when the Two Friendliest Sheep in the Entire World are trying to help.
All these pictures were taken while
A. Merlin was trying to crawl into my lap. (Because we all know what a lapsheep he is.)
B. Onyx was alternating between looking over my shoulder and giving me sudden attention-getting nudges. (I got a lot of pictures of sky and dirt from being knocked off balance.)

But, anyway.
Here he is, the little cutie -

And I finally got a shot of the little white spot he has on the top of his head.

And his favorite activity of all:

Picture that little tail flipping at about 900 rpm. It's a wonder he doesn't leave the ground - a little butt-powered helicopter...

Few things in the world are as cute as a little lamb. Goldie looks like a good mom.

awwww ... he's just darling.

I'll bet your house is a dirty mess. And the laundry isn't done. Nor any spinning...

Absolutely beautiful sheepies. I wanted to ask you a question re the bunnies. I discovered a cat had dug up a nest yesterday of four. If I left them out there, I knew she'd just keep taking them out. So since I've already taken 6 to the rehab center this year, I decided to do some research on rehabbing them myself. Three died overnight (two had cuts so I suspect infection) but I have the final little guy doing pretty well. Eyes are half open. Anyway, I discovered the reason so many baby bunnies die when orphaned is because they get their essential gut bacteria from eating mom's poop. Did you try feeding yours any leftover poop? It was amazing to see how much my last little one perked up when introduced to some that I found around his nest. Gross, but true. So far so good. You actually mix it in with the formula (a mix of boiled water, pedialyte, and kitten milk replacement). I know the odds are against me but I really want this last one to make it.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about. Those are Squeee! worthy.

I'm on the edge of my seat, waiting to hear whether we're going anywhere with the rabbit poop....

Here's what Yvette is talking about:

We didn't try it with our bunnies since we could never seem to locate any cecotropes from our other rabbits. (We tried. Apparently they ate them as fast as they excreted them.) It could be why we lost our last baby bunny.

My last one just died. So sad. I can't deal with this one more time.

Cute as a bug's ear! And I vote for "Coal". Yes, I know Madman doesn't like it, but I think he's just too cute to be called anything else!
