Yesterday was a busy day - besides the plying, we butchered a couple of chickens, moved the sheep, and I picked cucumbers while Madman picked beans. Then I froze 12 packages of beans, and made a batch of sweet pickle relish for my sweetie. (I don't like the stuff, personally, but he does, so I try to keep it on hand. It's actually the reason I begged for a food processor - I had always thought I could get along just fine with a knife and cutting board, until the first time I chopped cucumbers for a batch of relish. I always tell Madman, if he ever doubts he's loved, just think of me chopping all those damn cucumbers by hand, and making him relish...)
And in my spare time, I baked a loaf of bread and made a really nifty cucumber and tomato salad for supper. And took umpty-seven pictures of sheep...
Frankly, it was a relief to get back to work today and get some rest. These days off are killing me...

Ya done good. That's lovely spinning there and I'm impressed with all your ambitious endeavors. I made a trip to Target today, blocked a shawl and paid bills; not hardly worth getting out of bed for!
Boy do we know the feeling. I'm soooo looking forward to winter so we can slow the hell down *lol*
Yarn looks fabulous!
Acck, and you did all that in that heat, too!!!
No way did I have enough for 12 packages of beans, though my heart is a bit broken about all the too-big ones I pulled out and threw away yesterday. An entire picking was missed in my absence. I was only gone three days, for Pete's sake! But the week leading up to it was extra-busy, I guess.... Sigh.
Most is right with the universe when you spend a day pickin' and agrinnin' in the garden, stocking up against the colder harder winter to come.
Your yarn is beautiful. You have enough for a major project.
Very pretty and what an impressive spinning feat. Is it for a shawl or you have no idea what you'll use it for yet? I've yet to spin for a project in mind- I just like to spin :)
Wonderful yarn! Although, I'm willing to bet you got more yardage than you think.
What a busy day. I hope you can rest now that you're back at work.
