Ringo's borders on? Check!
I found the most perfect batik and WHOOSH!
All flimsied!
It's even next in line to be quilted. Expect a real finish soon!
And now back to the gifty work - so many things in motion and I can't share ANY of them...
Hopefully I'll at least remember to take pictures this time. Hopefully.
That IS the perfect border! One of the S'mores almost finished hers this week. Another one was working on En Provence. And I was trying to finish Celtic Solstice. We all seem to get motivated this time of year, hoping to be ready for the next one.
ReplyDeleteI think that border is perfect for your Ringo Lake quilt, too! That is such a pretty color combination. Way to go, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! This border was meant to be with Ringo. The colors complement each other so well. Awesome job! And fast too. Let the new mystery begin! Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice scrappy narrow border and an awesome choice for the final border.
ReplyDeleteA lovely quilt, so exciting to get it to this stage. Will you machine or hand quilt?
ReplyDeleteWow, great border!! Like so many others, I’m working on my ORL now too. Although I made enough blocks for the large quilt, I’m going to size mine down like you did. The extras can go on the back. If I ever go full-size on the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilts again, will you come over and slap me upside the head?!?!
ReplyDeleteYou did find the perfect border--looks great!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! So close you can almost taste the finish! Maybe it will be done in time for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent color variations on Ringo Lake. That is hard to do well. Kudos.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes. It's getting to the time of year for gifting. So much to finish in secret. Enjoy.
Lovely! I love a good batik!
ReplyDeleteWooHoo! It looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great batik for the quilt border. I do hope you take photos of your gifts so you can show us when the time is right.
ReplyDeleteGreat border choices!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely perfect border fabric - a lucky find!
