I've discovered something about laying out Burgoyne Surrounded blocks.
It makes me want to make more.
I grabbed my rotary cutter and some nearby fabric.
By late afternoon, I had one of those two almost completely stitched together.
Looks like it's going to be a bigger quilt than I thought.
Or maybe the first of two?
Uh-oh.
Nothing wrong with making two quilts. If you enjoy the piecing ... go for it. ;^)
ReplyDeleteI have the opposite problem - all my quilts turn out smaller than I thought!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the option of the reversible quilt.
ReplyDeleteOh for Pete's sake! How many blocks did you make for the small-that-needs-to-be-bigger to begin with?
ReplyDeleteTwo quilts are better than one or something like that. I like Sally/Molly's reversible idea too!
Gotta grab that motivation when it strikes you! Sew until you're surrounded :)
ReplyDeleteAlways beautiful. I predict a fight over them in your family.
ReplyDeleteJust thought you should know...I enjoy reading your blog because you always make me smile...thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThe beautify of Burgoyne blocks escaped me until I saw your previous post with all those beautiful colors and the strong diagonals. I also like your little 9-patch corner blocks. This (or these) will be a beautiful quilt(s)!
ReplyDeleteI know about grumpy knees, too, and I wish my hardwood design floor had carpet though, as you say, it might not help all that much.
