Because who can resist a purple batik piglet?
And what's a piglet without a kaleidoscope?
Or two.
Or, er, um, several.
And I'm going to have to cut some more bits for the Twinkle Star borders, because I'm almost out of what I'd cut ahead.
Now that I know it's safe to proceed, having tested the borders and finding they're going to fit, that is. (Always a worry...)
I've got the right side border on, and will be adding the others as soon as I can trust my brain again.
(I've found it's best not to push it too hard when in the throes of a cold. Especially when there's this much matchy-matchy stuff going on.)
(If ever there was a time I'm likely to sew a border completely reversed, possibly twice, this is it.)
(Go on, ask me how I know.)
(If I run out of parenthetical comments, can someone send me their extras?)
(I think it's time to wrap up in a fleecy blanket in front of the woodstove. With my feet up. Night night!)
Before I go, though, I'm going to link up with Angela for ScrapHappy Saturday. I'm late for the party!
And as long as I'm at it, I'll link with ScrapTastic Tuesday, as well. There can't be too much scrappy fun!
Beautiful Twinkle Stars quilt. I will be looking forward to see it done.
ReplyDeletePretty purple piglet. I like also all the blocks. Get well soon. Take care.
Good for you for making continual progress (despite the cold). Love the quilt top (and the piglet and the blocks are cute too).
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw that you had made a purple piglet, all I could think was "oh yes!" Did not say it out loud because then I would have to explain to my mom, who I am visiting! Your piglet is great! I like how your twinkler star quilt is turning out too! Those borders look complicated, so give your cold some time to pass! Hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteYea! It's purple piglet time!! He should play very nicely with his brothers and sisters!
ReplyDeleteDid you start that Twinkle Star top in January? I love what I can see so far!!
No, I can't resist that piglet. And I'm going to make mine today, I think. But first some hexies for me.
ReplyDeleteCute little piggy and good luck with your border and no issues :)
ReplyDeleteHope your cold improves and you can keep moving on the twinkle star border (I covet that quilt. I could probably share a few of my parenthetical passages with you! But I'll keep my elipses es es es.
ReplyDeleteYou are SEW funny!! Hope you are feeling better soon. (The PURPLE scraps are waiting for you!) (And... your Twinkler Quilt is turning out GREAT!!!) (Hugs! Joyful)
ReplyDeleteYour star quilt is coming along beautifully. But are you sure you didn't just hallucinate the purple oinker...because there was only one...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you're not feeling so good. Take care of yourself and hope you get better real soon. I mean who else will take care of the piglets? (Rest my friend; it's good for ya!) ;^)
ReplyDeleteNothing more perfect than a purple pig!
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to some purple bacon!
ReplyDeleteAnd, gosh, that Twinkle Star is looking soooooo beautiful. (Now I know why I'm not a border person...that's too much for my brain even w/o the sniffles).
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Purple batik piglets are the new black.
ReplyDeleteYou are never too here. What would we all do without a purple piglet to cheer us up? Your star quilt is gorgeous. Take it easy and get well soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the pig! And it looks like you are making lots of progress elsewhere! Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!
