Brokenhearted

We lost our little bunny. He was fine last night - playful, bouncy, cuddly. This morning he was dead.
When we first brought our little orphans inside and started researching how to hand-raise them, we noticed a lot of the experts said "Don't bother. They're all going to die anyway."
But, being us, we had to try.
Losing this last one is hard.

  1. Oh no Gayle! I'm so sorry to hear Hopper didn't make it. Feeling the gloom for you over here.

(Blogger has a sick sense of humor... the word verification for this comment is "culled." I'm tempted to try to comment again so I get a different word.)

  4. Ohhhhh, nooooooo. I've got a tear in my eye. This was already feeling like a big downer of a day -- I'm missing my boy too much, am worried about his health, and I've got a major headache AND it just thundered with an outdoor graduation planned for tomorrow -- and now THIS.

  5. Oh no! I'm so sorry. Well regardless of what the "experts" say I think it was worth your effort, every little creature deserves a chance, and at least he knew a little love before he moved on.
