Garden bounty!

Last night we had asparagus from the garden - the first of the year. It was only 4 spears, but it was still our first harvest and we savored every bite!
And I cut enough rhubarb to make a rhubarb cobbler.
Veg and dessert - woohoo!

Odetta is getting a little more accustomed to us. Though bribing her with sheep pellets is helping in that area. We can now scritch one out of two of our sheep...

  1. Woo! Garden food! Our tomatoes have some babies on them, and I was showing the Bug. He ripped the biggest one right off to show to daddy. Sigh. Apparently we have to go through the "wait until they're red" speech again.

  2. Oh YUM! I just bought tom plants and pepper plants yesterday. More tomatoes for the chipmunks, apparently.

  3. Yay for you! I think next year I'm going to triple my seed starting. The ground just does *not* warm up in the raised beds like I hoped it would. It's either that or I need to build alot more cold frames.
