Jax and Buckeyes and Demented Rails - it's getting a little chaotic here...

This week I managed to make another Centennial star and another Jacks, bringing the April total of each to three.

Then I even managed a couple of Buckeyes, which means I think my total April output may be better than March.

Meanwhile, I was also steadily stitching away my triangles for Totally Demented, and even doing a bit of leader/ender sewing for Checkerboard Rails.

That's the view just to the left of my sewing machine - checkerboards on the left and demented triangles on the right.  So far I'm keeping them straight and not sewing the wrong bits to each other, but no guarantees.

I got curious about what the blocks are going to look like, so I started playing.

The pattern is here, and looking closely, there are four blocks in each quadrant, so I laid out enough bits to see what the center of the quadrant was going to look like where those four come together.

I'm starting to vaguely wonder if working on those quadrants simultaneously might be a good plan.  If I build each out from the center, I could theoretically bail out when I think the quilt is big enough (or when I just can't stand piecing another triangle...)

Yep, this is going to be fun!  As long as I don't think too hard about how many of those little blocks I'm going to need...

And now it's an Official Project -

the bin has been labeled.

Linking with SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday, and with Quilting is more fun than Housework for Sunday's Oh Scrap!  Come see all the gorgeous scrappiness!

I am so happy to see your work area. I sometimes judge the mess I see when I "wade" into my sewing room. But then I feel how much happiness all those scraps bring me. Thanks for linking up with Oh Scrap!

I love all your blocks! I'm always so happy to read your posts and find out I'm not the only one who likes to have all kinds of different projects on the go. Demented is going to be amazing!

Love that you updated the label on your project box -- good for you!! Just keep stitching . . . (thinking of Dory as I typed that).

So many great projects! Between Totally Demented and those Leader/Enders, I’m so impressed that you’ve managed to keep them straight thus far.

According to The Sociology of Sewing Rooms, its the state of the floor that gives more insight into the quilter than the sewing table. So next time, please lower the airm of the camera.

There are lots of equations related to gravity, but I can't understand them without Molly's help.

I love all this busy-ness, and how you too jump from one thing to another! Great projects & progress!

Glad to see you sewing!
I think it's funny that the three of us Totally Demented folks are approaching the Dementia differently. Quite interesting! Mine isn't in a labeled project box yet - just a baggie for now.

I'm happy to see that when you have an empty box you fill it up with a new project. That's what keep me sane, anyway, lol. Love your blocks and demented is scrappiness at its best. One block at a time and you will get there ... eventually! Enjoy! Oh! One more thing. If you call that sewing table a mess, please don't come visit me without calling first, okay? :^D

You've done so well at using up your yellow scraps this month. Have fun with your Demented project (That's really a very dangerous name for a project. I can just imagine the conversations!).

Every time I think I've got way too many WIPS and misc. blocks going on, you (and Cathy and Cathy and Sally) appear and I don't feel so bad anymore. But I've run out of project boxes (and space to stack anymore), so maybe I really need to finish something. Demented is intriguing, but I have to put together the split nine patch leader and ender before I can even think about starting that.

Ima have to remember that Buckeye block when it comes time to start using up leader-ender 4-patches...

Totally Demented blocks look so good together! I thought the pattern looked interesting but the size of the triangles ruled it out, but what a super scrap quilt it will be.

You go, girl! You make such great progress on everything at the same time. How do you keep your projects straight and how do you organize your time to get so much done? I'm amazed.
