But... but... I'm not done with orange, yet...

I've been busy with Halloween costume sewing (not for me) (grandkids, ya know), but managed to squeeze in a couple of piglets and some other orange bits.

First, these two little stars -

And I do mean stars, literally!

And then, my new favorite piggy ever!  (Thanks, Sally!)

Cuz what could be better than piglets and chickens together?!?  (That's ham and eggs right there, folks.  But don't tell them...)

As 2016 starts winding up, I'm giving some thought to RSC2017.  One block that had caught my eye was the Centennial block, so I found a version of the pattern that finished to a 6" block.
(It was actually a paper-pieced pattern, but life is too short for paper piecing, so I translated the pattern to use strips and squares.  You know, piecing piecing...)

I plan to make a few more just because I like the block, and then make a decision for next year.

And while my guard was down and all those orange scraps were flopping around on the cutting table, this happened:

And it looks like it's liable to keep happening...

Fresh squeezed orange piglets. Delightful. And my, Molly thinks you're easy to please. But sometimes she prefers the packing material to the contents too.

Oooh - lucky kids!
I helped my niece with the pieces to her. We went thrift shopping to find everything needed for an undead bride.
Today her mother sent me pictures of her covering it all in fake blood with a maniacal grin in her face (in a t-shirt that says "life is sweet" no less!)
I love kids!

Love the star and the piglet star. The second I recognized right away, it's that musician Arghh the name escape me at the moment but I know it and love its music. The first one, not sure. (lol) You now have ham and eggs too. My! all that's missing is Pork and Beans?
Love the new age pumpkins. I might steal that idea ... when you are not looking! :^D

You have a lot of happy orange-ness right there! The pumpkins are great! I saw Bonnie Hunter making something similar and it was hard not to go right to my machine and start making some of my own!

Lots of yummy orange blocks, and still more cute piggies running around! And I do like that block for your next rainbow project too! Will you do more than the one project throughout the year, like this year?

I could sew orange blocks for a year! I love your orange piggies. I can't wait to see what you make with all of them. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!

Orange pigs look just right somehow, but love the pumpkins the most, especially the taller one, so cute.

Nice! I like orange. That centennial block is pretty, and it's always nice to have a pieced pieced pattern. ;) Pumpkins are cute too!

Good idea to modify that star, a very nice pattern. I hope those piggies don't get loose in your pumpkin patch!

You'll be ready next year with your very own pumpkin patch! (Assuming the piggies don't eat them of course.)
