Didn't mean to be gone this long...

September has been a busy month!  My dad's birthday is in September, and for the last 30 or so years, he and my stepmom have thrown a Pig Roast for friends and family to celebrate.  Since attendance often runs well into three digits, it takes a lot of prep to pull it off.  And of course, there was the time to be spent with visiting relatives gathering for the big day - my brother and SIL from the Midwest, whom I hadn't seen in years, came up north with a passel of their grandchildren for a too-short vacation.
Added to that, I was trying to move along my Gwennie medallions while simultaneously packing up projects to take along for an extended visit with my daughter and family.  (Oh, and clothes, too.  I did finally remember to pack some clothes.)
So here I am, now, in the quiet of Maryland, finally taking a few deep breaths.
And still moving along my Gwennies.
I even did this -

without having to go lie down afterwards...

So good to hear from you again. :^D
My heart skipped a beat just looking at what you did with border. Really, just like that? Cut! Oh, be still my heart. lol ;^)

Happy birthday to your dad!

I'm always a little disgusted with myself when I have to do something like that. Measure-twice-n-cut once doesn't always work for me. Usually I'm an inch short, rarely am I long.

Chop, chop! and where are all those famous piggies if not at the pig roast? gosh make a quilt and raffle it off to the crowds of piggy admirers! Hee, hee! okay, next year though?

Well done! It looks fine for other people to just chop it off, but I thought it might take a lot of courage!

Congratulations - really wasn't THAT bad was it? Now that you've managed it once, it will be easier each time.

I will excuse your absence this one time because you were enjoying yourself with your reality-based family. And I look forward to your next Gwennie reveal of your most amazing quilts.

I'm not sure I've ever been able to make one of those drastic cuts. I've made some progress on my medallion in the last day or so; I hope I can get the flimsy complete before October!
