Origami shmorigami

I fell in love with this origami rose this morning -




so I went to watch the video.



And then I gave it a try.

At the end of an hour I had this -




I think I'll stick to knitting and quilting...

I tried oragami in fabric once, it looked much the same as your results! Still it beats housework!

My 11-yr-old grand-daughter can whip up the most beautiful things in origami. I'm her hopeless student with 2 left hands!

LOL! I know that is how mine would look before I even would try it. Spatial relationships like that are not my forte. What were you going to do with it if it did turn out just fine??? Maybe you can try twisting some balloons into a rose shape next.
