Angela beat me to it...

( I'd titled this post 'Orange you glad it's September?', but I when I went to Scraphappy Saturday to get the link I saw that Angela had already used that for her post title.  Oh, well... )

I'd been looking forward to the RSC color being orange, because, you know, orange!!!  But I discovered a problem.
Garden Party ate all my oranges.

I didn't have a lot of depth in that color, since I'd never really been attracted to orange.  But buying some for Katie's Star Patch (her favorite color, so had to be in the quilt) and using it for what was mostly the first time really turned me around on orange.  Then my Garden Party demanded orange and I became a total fan.
But I thought that since I'd bought lots of orange, I must have plenty on hand.
Wrong.
Fat quarters don't last long when used with Wild Abandon.

I did get a few Ohio stars done.

And there are more in progress.

But I've also got a couple of other irons in the fire

and that organizing project going on.  Which is further confusing the issue of  Where's My Orange?  Because I know I've got some orange lights around here someplace, but can't currently find them in the chaos which is the midpoint of any attempt at organization.
Well, for me anyway...

Linking to ScrapHappy Saturday - I'm on my way over now to see what everyone else is up to with orange.  Because orange!!!

Love your stars. Thought I never liked orange until I was forced to use it on a charity quilt. Fell in love and went through a long "orange phase." Still have two stacks of yardage on my shelf. Orange will make a quilt sparkle and it's a natural complement to blue!

Looks like you're off to a good start, even if your supply of orange scraps seems low. Sounds like a good excuse for fabric acquisition!

The orange Ohio stars are spectacular. If you can't find the rest of the orange scraps you know there are online shops and I'm sure a quilt shop near by. After all you can't have an orange month without any orange. ;)

Your orange Ohio Stars are wonderful and Garden Party has such a lot of lovely shades of orange in there.

Lots of lovely orange blocks. They look like they are little blocks.

Your orange stars turned out so bright and happy. Speaking of happy, that tiny pig of yours has to be the cutest happiest pig around, especially since he has such a willing playmate.

Gosh, that Garden Party is awesome. Who knew orange could really be the WOW factor. And those Ohio Stars are looking good in orange too.

Great minds think alike: orange and Ohio Stars, woohoo! And your Garden Party quilt is absolutely delightful. You should treat yourself to more orange fat quarters! (Or even bigger cuts!)

I love your quilt! Like many, I didn't care for orange until I started using it in my quilts. Now I love orange.
