Well, it *is* Thursday...

My oldest daughter pointed out that my life is starting to show signs of Jasper Fforde-ishness. My youngest daughter and I have long planned to go to see my dad this coming weekend, for a belated Christmas celebration.
First her car blew its hood off on the interstate. A week or so later, my car tried to drive a sparkplug through its own hood.
As my oldest pointed out - "Are you really sure you should go, when not one, but two cars have blown up in order to keep you from making the trip?"

On a high note (I think. Or I thought. I may have to think some more...) my car got fixed today. Youngest daughter's car is still in the shop and may be ready tomorrow.
Should we take that as a good sign, or a bad one?

Live dangerously.

Maybe it'll take the attention off of me ;)

The cars were just insisting on repairs before you got on the road - a little pampering, some TLC.

Oh, the headaches of having car problems. I had a car that broke down every Friday on the way into work. Eventually, we I purchased the new car I currently have, I'd much rather deal with known car payments each month than car repair bills. I've had very little to repair on my current car and it's almost paid for. It's a Toyota....unAmerican of me!

I'm pretty sure it means that you should take a day off, put your feet up, and knit a cozy for someone's car. Your choice of car. Or maybe it means you should go visit someone else's dad. Don't bother with mine, he died in 1983, but if you can do a seance with him, tell him I love him and hope all is well.

Can you tell my brain has gone walkabout?

Oh, I hope it is a good sign. Good luck with the traveling.....

I say go for it. Just watch out for word storms.

On second thought, perhaps a day off to knit at home would be more restful.
